Who DOESN’T love Betsey Johnson these days? The woman is legendary. In the 60’s she was apart of the underground movements alongside Andy Warhol with Edie Sedgwick being her in house model – and if that’s not cool enough she can still whip out an amazing cartwheel at the end of her shows. This season the 60’s played a heavy influence on her collection and as I sat in my seat drooling over every look that strutted down the runway, I fell in love all over again with the way B.J. is so carefree and plays to the beat of her own drum. The show opened with a screen projecting clips of hysteric girls awaiting The Beatles as a soundtrack of nostalgic remixes blasted through the speakers. The collection kicked off with the aura of a city mod girl transported to current day which eventually morphed into psychedelic prints and ended with a display of eccentric and cheerful cocktail dresses. Celebrity guests included model and fashionista Coco Rocha, former Cheetah girl and always stunning Adrienne Bailon and 90210 it-girl Shenae Grimes.
