Steal or Splurge?

As we all know Victoria Beckham is a fashionista with impeccable taste. She always looks glamorous even when she is rocking a casual chic style. We can always learn a thing or two from her and her flawless outfits, especially with this outfit she is rocking which is right on point with the trends right now. We’ve been seeing a lot of these flowy pants in different colors and prints that tie at the ankle. Adding the blazer to this look makes it elegant while still maintain a casual feel. The great thing is that you can go all out and fork over some good money, but there’s nothing more than I love than a good steal on a celebrity outfit. Here are both option for you to pick and choose.

Enjoy!

3. Haute Hippie: Gray Top $225

4. Haute Hippie: Drawstring Cargo Pant With Double Stacked Pockets $425

5. Jimmy Choo: Cosmic Leather Pumps $695

Fashion Week Favorite: Alice & Olivia

Stacy Bendet has done it again. Completely impressed with her new Alice & Olivia Spring ’14 collection, which showed yesterday during New York Fashion Week. It’s filled with color and sparkle and happiness all around. While color blocking and bright colors took over the runways last Spring, this year is going to be all about pastels, muted colors, and our favorite combo – Black & White! And contrary to popular belief, leather is here to stay through Spring…so hold on to those leather track pants and paneled tops because the warm weather will be calling them! Below are some of my favorite looks from her show:

Ooh La La Look of the Week: SJP

Metallics are our weakness, especially when you’re talking black, white, gold together – hence the obvious color scheme of Cameo PR – but all that biased obsession aside…Sarah Jessica Parker definitely deserves to kick off our Ooh La La Look of the Week series in this dazzling Marc Jacobs resort number, completed of course with a show-stopping multi-metallic Fendi Baguette.  Ruling the red carpet Sunday night for the opening of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory: The Musical, this MJ sequin stunner wouldn’t quite have the same effect if not for the long sleeves & dropped hem, a classy twist on loud & sparkly that just seems to be working its magic on us.  Add a modern version of the star’s favorite iconic bag and you simply can’t help but lust after this fab look.  Well done.

Designers Sketch the Perfect Maternity Dress for Kate Middleton

Sure, it would be more fun to outfit the real live Duchess, but sometimes a pen and paper will just have to suffice, and today WWD asked a bevy of designers to come up with dresses fit for the last few months of Kate Middleton’s pregnancy. As you might expect, some options look more realistic than others.

Donna Karan designed a draped gown in striking blue that we could picture Kate wearing to a formal engagement, captioning the illustration: “Kate Middleton is elegant, sensual, timeless. This is a dress she could wear forever, at any age, at any stage, during and after her pregnancy.”

Karl Lagerfeld also went with blue, albeit in a rather different silhouette. For the pregnant royal, he sketched a bright navy Chanel frock with a mullet hem, high neck, and plunging neckline, adding the caption, “I think this dress is very much in her taste,” and scrawling “proud to be pregnant” at the top of the page. This isn’t exactly the first time he’s gotten fanciful with Kate’s wardrobe — recall the time he suggested she accessorize her “modern Victorian” wedding gown with a pair of thigh high boots? Something tells us he has fun with these little projects. – Styleite

Fashion Reporter: Met Gala’s Best and Worst

The Met Gala is the perfect opportunity to take some serious risks and truly be fashion forward. While some embraced this year’s theme “PUNK: Chaos to Couture” accordingly, some just took all the wrong risks. Here’s our best worst, and those in between list.

Looking forward to: The Met’s “PUNK: Chaos to Couture” Exhibit

0211PUNK-blog480

May 9th can’t get here soon enough.  That’s the day when The Metropolitan Museum of Art opens it’s annual Costume Institue exhibit and this year’s theme is a unique one inspired by the punk movement in both New York and London.  Usually the exhibit shows off the amazing talents and creations of two specific designers, but this year they’re thinking out of the box and I couldn’t be more excited.

The exhibit features the works of Karl Lagerfeld, Alexander McQueen, Marc Jacobs, Jeremy Scott, Alexander Wang, and John Paul Gaultier just to name a few and they’re interpretations of punk icons such as Sid Vicious and Johnny Rotten.

The exhibit opens on May 9 and runs through August 11, so be sure to go and check it out!
