Chanel’s Newest (grocery) Store

What supermarket do celebs shop at, you wonder? The Chanel Shopping Center obviously…

Karl Largerfeld has wowed us again at his Paris Fashion Week show this morning with models walking down a super market runway and celebrities also taking part in the fun. The super market shelves were ironically stocked with “Tweed Tea” as well as “coco carbone” to go along with all of the tweed, metallic and leather trends happening on the runway. Another trend spotted on the Chanel runway again – sneakers.

Fashion Weeks Continue

NYFW has come and gone – to London. Brands such as Tom Ford, Burberry Prorsum, Peter Pilotto and Sophia Webster (just a few of my faves) now get their chance to show their amazing FW’14 collections. One thing is for sure this coming fall – prints on prints on prints. While this spring’s collections are very basic solid colors with black and white dominating the scene, this fall is going to be filled with warmer colors and patterns. Burberry never fails to give us a reason to want to fast forward seasons.

What are your thoughts on next seasons trends?

Fashion Week Favorite: Alice & Olivia

Stacy Bendet has done it again. Completely impressed with her new Alice & Olivia Spring ’14 collection, which showed yesterday during New York Fashion Week. It’s filled with color and sparkle and happiness all around. While color blocking and bright colors took over the runways last Spring, this year is going to be all about pastels, muted colors, and our favorite combo – Black & White! And contrary to popular belief, leather is here to stay through Spring…so hold on to those leather track pants and paneled tops because the warm weather will be calling them! Below are some of my favorite looks from her show:

Behind the Scenes, News

The Devil is Back!

It has been 10 years (yes, 10…can you believe it?!!?) since Miranda Priestly and Andy Sachs came clacking in to our lives in some phenomenal heels thanks to former assistant to Anna Wintour, Lauren Weisberger with her novel The Devil Wears Prada.  Incredible fashion aside, the amazing rise of Andy from the poorly dressed and disheveled Midwestern journalist to sleek and stylish assistant at Runway to the most powerful woman in magazine publishing is an inspirational story of how far you’re willing to go to get ahead, without having to sacrifice your own morals and ideals.

Now, Andy and her former nemesis/Miranda’s First Assistant, Emily run their own high-end fashion magazine and are forced to face Miranda once again, which could mean only one thing…the competition gets fiercer.

The lovely team over at Fashionista had a chance to speak with Weisberger at her sold out book signing last night in NYC.  Head over to read what inspired her to bring back these characters we all fell in love with.

Alexander Wang Pre-Fall 2012

Never one to stray from his signature chic style, this collection is yet another prime example of impeccable tailoring and a hint of alluring masculinity to make for a daring fashionista in the upcoming seasons. Personally, i’m a huge Alexander Wang fangirl, so this collection could do no wrong in my eyes. I love the dark aura and contrast of badgirl mixed with elegant breathtaking looks that make jaws drop. “We started with the idea of tromp l’oeil, something quite classic but less in a whimsical way and more the idea of deceptive textures and patterns,” Wang explains. My favorite pieces displayed exquisite draping, sensual colors and a hint of rocker edge that i ALWAYS adore. Trends to be on the lookout from this collection include pencil skirts, tailored suits, leather accents, and layered pieces.
